Biography
Valeriya Troubina was born in 1966. She studied at the Art School and Arts College of Lugansk. In 1990 graduated from Kyiv State Art Institute and became a member of Ukrainian Union of Artists. Lives and works in Berkeley, California, USA. Works of the artist are held in the State Tretyakovska gallery (Moscow), National museum of Russian art (Moscow), National fine arts museum (Kyiv), as well as in the private collections of Sweden, USA, Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine.
Description
Valeriya Troubina is the prominent Ukrainian painter, whose creative growth arose together with the artists of "Parkomuna" – the famous Kyiv artgroup of early 90s, whose practise is close to Italian transavantgarde art movemen. Creativity of Valeria Troubina is absolutely free of any social or political tendencies and explores exceptionally aesthetic categories such as spirituality in art, responsibility of an artist, and beauty as the highest value.
