Szilvashi Tiberiy



Born in 1947 in Mukachevo, Transcarpathia. In 1966, he graduated from the Republican Art School named after Shevchenko. In 1972 – graduated from Kyiv State Institute of Art. In 1995 Szilvashi was awarded "Artist of the Year" in Ukraine and obtained a scholarship in Munich. His projects were presented at the International Art Festival in Kyiv in 1996 and 1998.  In 2022, he won the Shevchenko National Prize (the highest state prize of Ukraine for works of culture and arts) and the Grand Gold Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Expert of the Competition for Young Ukrainian Artists, MUHi.  

Tiberiy Szilvashi works are in public and private collections in Munich, Vienna, New Jersey, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv, Uzhgorod, Kyiv and other cities of Europe and U.S.. Lives and works in Kyiv.
