They will tell what point led to building the cultural landscape of their hometown.
Piotr Armianovski as the director of the video work “People’s Museum of Avdiivka”, presented at the competition MUHi 2019, and as a mediator in acquaintance with the museum and its participants in the current exhibition, will conduct a short tour by this project. In 2016, Piotr went to the Avdiivka FM Festival to take part in the theatrical part, but decided to shoot a video about the history of the People’s Museum of Avdiivka. It was one of the locations of the festival, which was almost completely destroyed during the war, but later restored on initiative of locals. Four years later, in November 2020, Piotr went there again to record a video interview of the artists and invite them to participate in a new project, to give them a voice in this story.
Maryna Shcherbenko, a curator of Shcherbenko Art Centre and the MUHi competition, will also comment on the story and transformation of the People’s Museum of Avdiivka project from the moment of MUHi 2019 to the present day.
