Description
BLOOD AND PREASURE
The performance “Blood and Pressure” was created in collaboration with Russian-British artist Mila Dolman at the Ugly Duck Art Center in 2017 in London, UK. Unable to buy animal calves in London stores, the artists could purchase only fillets and dry blood to further throw these pieces of bloody flesh at each other. Thus, representatives of different sides of the military conflict demonstrated the painful topic for both. At that time it has already been lasting for 4 years and still continues to this day.
Since the annexation of Crimea, the artists have worked with a common theme researching the similarities and differences of countries and cultures in their collaborations. “Blood and Pressure” is about delimiting the conflict participants, where artists while influencing and being influenced both act as attackers and as victims.
